This year marks 60 years since Van Morrison unleashed the rock classic ‘Gloria’ on the world with his Northern Irish band Them - as a B-side! Then again, his first solo single, the timeless ‘Brown EyedGirl’, dates back to 1967. And a year later, with Astral Weeks, he would make one of the best pop records of all time - one of the few albums ever given a 10/10 by the critical music bible Pitchfork.
